Imagine riding a bike on Napoleon’s Hill (also known as Acre Hill), climbing to its top, standing at the vantage point located at the top of the hill, beside the statue of the French military leader who was not able to conquer Acre (Akko) and observe from above the breathtaking sceneries of the City of Acre and the Mediterranean Sea, stretching before your very eyes, as if they are on the palm of your hand, from Rosh Hanikra in the north until the Haifa Port and Mount Carmel in the south. Skilled riders are invited to ride along the Napoleon single track, or along part of it, or across the asphalt trails system deployed on the hill.
You can start your ride at the pump track located at the foot of the hill, a professional and challenging complex intended for improving your riding skills. After half an hour to an hour of practice, you are qualified to start pedaling, especially if you are riding a mountain bike.
Imagine riding a bike between the intertwining and curved alleys of the Old City of Acre, at the romantic Fishermen’s Port and along the beautiful northern promenade, ending the ride by sitting in a fish restaurant facing the sea or by wiping hummus in one of the many hummus restaurants in Acre.
And imagine a wonderfully relaxed ride, when the evening breeze coming from the sea caresses your face, and you are pedaling on a dirt road, riding toward the Na’aman Stream and along the stream, in a circular path (on both stream banks), a charming path that integrates landscapes, nature and fun.
