The Julia Winery is a small and beautiful boutique winery in the heart of Meiliya.
The winery is named after Julia, the wife of George Araf, who is an agronomist by profession, and cultivates a small vineyard of 7 dunams of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, west of Iliya and invests in it his soul and love.
In the small winery there is a barrel room and bar, around which guests are seated for wine tasting and light refreshments.
George hosts wholeheartedly and is very hospitable, is happy to give his guest a tour of the barrel room and to explain about the wine production process, starting from cultivation of the grapes in his private vineyard and until storage of the wine in a barrel in the barrel room.
The winery bottles some 4,000 bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon. Merlot, Shiraz and Viognier (a white wine) of which he exports 2000 bottles to the United States.
The Julia Winery wines can be found in restaurants in the Western Galilee and Haifa and of course can be purchased in the winery.

During the spring festival and Christmas, wine celebrations are held at the winery and at weekends on Friday, Saturday and Sunday the winery is open for wine tasting and purchasing.
During the harvest George invites the guests to tour the vineyard, there the harvest is carried out by hand. In the shade of the twirling vines and sitting around tables they are invited to light refreshments and an explanation of the wine cultivation process.
From there the guests travel a short distance to the winery and to a tour of the barrel room and for wine tasting around the bar plus refreshments.

The visit to the vineyard is free of additional charge. The winery has capacity for up to 25 people.
