After entering the main hall of Pure & Simple, visitors will probably also stop overwhelmed by the abundance of sights and the mixture of scents attacking their senses from all directions. Large sacks contain countless bundles of dried medicinal herbs from the Land of Israel.
Huge weaker baskets heaped with all the best; gigantic bottles with cork stoppers embracing wines and potions, and shelves stretched out all around holding a variety of medicines, ointments and other remedies all made here, in the vicinity of this unique store located at the center of Kibbutz Cabri.

Shimon Shemla is the entrepreneur, owner and living soul behind this plant and its visitors center. Bright eyed, “overflowing” with knowledge and total commitment, which is expressed in the treatment of each guest arriving for a visit. Every visitor leaves the place with a diagnosis and an appropriate medication for any affliction or pain. Whether an allergy, respiratory problems, various different bodily pains or cosmetics – here, through a guided tour, personal diagnosis and an audio-visual presentation – visitors will become acquainted with the wonderful world of plants and the magnificent history of medicine born in the land of Israel, based entirely on plants that grow here and are suitable for people who live here in the middle east.
All the cosmetics, ointments, oils and medications mixed here are made by Shimon, who is an autodidact and an expert of oils and medicinal herbs, and has built the whole project with his own two hands. Come see for yourself! The place holds special workshops – an exceptional experience!
