Raman Salah who is an expert in bees opened the Visitors Centre in order to bring visitors closer to the world of the bee, whereby he is very knowledgeable about them and really loves them. In the Visitors Centre there are workshops in collecting honey by hand – within the framework of the workshop Rassen slices a honey challah bread and the participants taste the challah.
We recommend starting the tour in the beautiful village of Peki’in on the lovely terrace of the Asal Al Nor Visitors Centre overlooking the village and the surrounding area. From the terrace one can see the scenery of the Tefen District and the settlements of Kisra, Maalot, New Peki’in and Harashim.

During the visit to the various corners of the Visitors Centre you will find manikins dressed as bees as well as an active hive within a glass aquarium which enables observation of the activity of the bees. Following a comprehensive explanation that Ramen provides to the visitors about the scenery from the terrace they are invited to a 20-minute lecture accompanied by videos about the world of bees.
At the Visitors Centre there are also workshops for collection of honey by hand – within the framework of the workshop Raman slices a honey challah. The participants taste the challah and they can take home whatever remains.
There are also creative workshops here for children: the children choose from the many fancy dress costumes available and dress up as bees and engage in drawing, decoration and creation of candles from beeswax. Within the framework of the workshop two movies are screened for the children “Maya the Bee” and “Winnie the Pooh”.
While the children are busy with the workshop the parents are invited to visit the beautiful and impressive shop which offers an abundance of bee-related products: various types of honey, medicines based on honey for almost any illness and utensils for serving honey.
