During these tours, participants will touch and smell, taste and breath-in, and primarily become acquainted with the human side of stories associated with the buildings, history, landscapes and fascinating ethnic population of the Galilee – whether based on legend or fact, a tall-tale or the truth or a combination of the two, rendering it impossible to tell where fabrication ends and reality begins.

And you know what? – You will enjoy it so much you will not care!

One tour route is the Acre trail – this classic tour takes travelers through the Knight Halls, the Treasures in the Wall Museum and the Templars’ Tunnel – who were these knights? What were they looking for here? Why were these buildings preserved contrary to buildings in other sites in Israel? This is all very interesting, however Avirama incorporates in the tour activities such as quizzes, tasks, night tours, and of course, encounters with people.

Another route she specializes in tours Western Galilee Druze villages, e.g. Peki’in. Avirama is an expert on Peki’in; she worked in the Jewish compound of Peki’in, and knows it thoroughly. Her tour includes the usual sites of Peki’in; the synagogue, the Cave of Rashby (Rabbi Shimon Bar Yohai), the fountain; but it also includes a meeting with Margalit Zinatti – the last of the Jews of Old Peki’in, a visit in the houses in the original old village, as well as hikes in the area.

Another Druze village tour leads through Beit Jan – including a visit to Doctor Ziad Dabur, an IDF reserve colonel doctor of Chemistry, who opened in the village a laboratory and a small plant for the production of unique cosmetics; and a stunning observation point from Ha’ARI Mountain. And who in fact are the Druze? How and when did they arrive here? What does reincarnationhave to do with military cemeteries? Avirama will answer these and other questions.

Other tours Avirama offers include:

– Kefar-Veradim – fascinating encounters combined with short pretty hikes in the Rocks Park and along the Norman Path.

– a hike to Yitzhar River, a charming unknown river; takes hikers from the area of Kibbutz Tuval, Avirama’s place of residence, to Mount Gamal.

– The mountainside settlements, including encounters with local people in settlements with aunique orientation, such the village of Kishorit and the Kishor winery.

– Observation points in the Galilee – a tour emphasizing building settlements in the Galilee, including Kibbutz Tuval, the Harashim observatory and an observation point overlooking Beit Hakerem valley.

In the trail of blossoms – following the peony in bloom in Beit-Jan and on mount Hillel. These tours include an observation to the breathtaking landscapes of the Upper and Western Galilee expanses.

– a tour of Ma’alot-Tarshiha and Me’ilia, recounting the uniqueness of each one of these places as well as of the relationship among them, and incorporating artists and beautiful sites “just like those seen abroad”.

– a Western Galilee route that includes Rosh Hanikrah, Arab-al-Aramshe, the lost villages and the Keshet Cave.

– a tour running a line connecting different mosaics from all eras in the Galilee – the route takes travelers from the Tunisian synagogue in Acre through the remains of the Byzantine church at Shavei Zion; a visit in the Davidson Garden and the mosaic factory at Kibbutz Eilon, and a visit at Idan Hapri – a mosaic of dried fruit.
