In her pretty home that stands on a hill overlooking the settlement of Klil and the Mediterranean, Hagit Leedror gives one-time workshops for vegetarian cooking, that also include Raw-Food style cooking and preparing desserts. The workshop is suitable for a couple or a family. Participants cook together and eat the meal while enjoying the landscape. The workshop is about three hours long.
In addition, Hagit conducts chocolate-making workshops for parents and children. During the workshop participants learn how to make healthy chocolate from cocoa beans that have not been roasted and therefore maintain their nutritional value; these are combined with nuts, dried fruit and natural sweeteners, and join together to produce truffle balls and chocolate fondue, which participants prepare, taste and take home the remainder of.
In another workshop Hagit teaches how to make desserts and row food cakes without eggs, baking, flour, sugar and milk. The cakes are based on fruit, nuts, coconut oil and natural sweeteners. In the workshop Hagit teaches that the desire for sweets can be turned into creation.
Hagit, who managed the Ashram at Shitim in the past and cooked for hundreds of people in dozens of festivals, says that she learned to cook according to vegetarian principles as a result of being a mother of two children. Years of being a vegetarian, trial, tasting and love brought her to share her knowledge and to teach people how to cook healthy food; so that they can take the gift she has given them to their place and continue eating healthy. The workshops are held at Hagit’s home in Klil.
With advance coordination, Hagit can conduct workshops in guests’ rooms, where she brings her pots and pans and the ingredients along.
