Abu Jimmy Sweets Pastry Shop and Café was named after the head of the family, blessed be his memory, who established it together with his wife, Umm Jimmy, may she live long. Since the establishment of the pastry shop in 1986, Beirut born Umm Jimmy, who came to Tarshiha after she was married, continues to make pastries and sweets according to a Lebanese recipe she learned at her mother’s home. Thus she prepares the Baklava and the Knafe without preservatives and with low cholesterol vegetable oils. The awareness to health at Abu Jimmy’s is high, and one can find here gluten-free Baklava and sugar free Knafe.
People observing Kashrut laws can also shop here. The pastry shop has a factory in Nahariya that produces kosher products. All the pastry shop’s kosher products are made under the supervision of a Kashrut supervisor and the laws are kept here to the letter easy or difficult.
The shop is managed by Jo, the son of Abu Jimmy and Umm Jimmy, and his mother. It was his idea to run a cafe alongside the pastry shop. The place also comprises a beer bar that serves, amongst others, beer from the barrel.
The place can be rented for private affairs.
Open Mon. thru Saturday 8AM – 9:30PM.
Kosher only in closed packages with ‘Kosher Le’Mehadrin’ stickers attached.
Gluten free and Sugar free products available.
