Meshek Hefer, Also known as ‘Makom Balev’, is an agricultural farm owned by Eyal and Edna Hefer, raising goats for milking. The farm is located within an oak forest above the Khziv River.
Meshek Hefer offers a multitude of activities and unique attractions, all worthwhile and recommended. Here one can embark on horseback and tour the wild oak forest that surrounds the residential area, spreading over thousands of acres. If those who prefer driving, we will provide a small automatic SUV alongside a map, and once the whole family (seats 4) is on board you can go out on a 12 mile trail in one of the most forested mountain terrain natural sites that the Galilee has to offer.
Weary of the action? At Edna’s dairy farm you can purchase homemade cheese, Labaneh (yogurt cheese) and yogurt, made on site from the family farm goats’ milk.
Moreover, you can buy Galilee made boutique wine and choice rustic bread and then go down the path to the forest where the ‘Coffee Shed’ is located, and settle down around an isolated pick nick table. Purchase system at Meshek Hefer is based on total trust in people: you pick items, calculate the bill, put money in the till and take your own change.
The place is open all week 24 hours a day.
The Guest Rooms are located in the thick of the wood, where you can retire at any given time and arrange a private festive meal. The guest rooms themselves are the perfect place for lovers of nature, peace and quiet. Eyal and Edna offer two entirely discrete cabins, so that guests don’t have to worry about neighbors. The cabins are spacious and consist of a living room and a separate bedroom as well as a Jacuzzi of course. The kitchen features coffee in various flavors, homemade cake, cookies, seasonal fruit, fresh vegetables, jams, wine and a variety of products from our own dairy farm. The cabins are well and abundantly accessorized, offering a huge selection of videos with a compatible entertainment system.
Suitable for families, crews, companies and organizations looking for exciting activities for integration, bonding, enjoying being together and experiential learning. Meshek Hefer offers an abundance of social activities, workshops, outdoor games and unique activities lead by Eyal for whom this is more than a hobby, and relies on his experience and expertise in the field from his days as secretary general of the Youth Movement and The Moshavim Movement.
