For the past eight years Yusuf Abalini has been standing behind the salad bar making his magical falafel balls, whose reputation has spread throughout the North of Israel.
When asked about the secret behind his falafel, he simply says: it tastes good.
And indeed, Yusuf’s falafel, served in a freshly-baked pitta that arrives every morning from the local bakery, is served fresh and melts in your mouth. The pitta “pocket” is also filled with choice tahini, prepared by Dalia, Yusuf’s charming mother, and fresh salads and excellent Humus, which makes for a first rate pitta with falafel.
The falafel stand is located in a wooden structure on the Market Street. Customers can sit indoors or outdoors on the porch.
