The Lychee farm ‘Falling in Love with Nature’ is an agricultural tourist project located amidst fields and surrounded by the wonderful landscapes of the Western Galilee. During the months of July and August, the farm offers independent picking of seasonal fruit: lychee, grapes, passion fruit and figs.

Guests are welcome to eat fruit they pick to their heart’s content, and also bring the experience home with them by purchasing fruit at prices much lower than market prices.

Farm owner, Bialik Sulimani, named after Israel’s national poet, welcomes his guests under a huge shade featuring picnic tables, a water cooler and a free coffee and tea corner. Activity begins with a 30 minute lecture, where Bialik describes the farm grown fruit, especially Lychee; its country of origin, its medicinal attributes and the way it is cultivated on the farm. After the lecture, children and their parents are invited to go fruit picking. The olive path leads to the picking plots. The sight is heart-warming; Lychee and fig trees bow down with fruit, grapevines heavy with bunches of grapes; and the experience of picking juicy fruit and eating it directly from the tree, without the mediation of a supermarket, is a wonderful celebration for both children and parents. The farm premises comprise about 30 species of trees including old olive trees, fruit bearing vines, passion fruit, weeping mulberry trees named after their weepy looking branches, Pakistani mulberry trees with fruit about 12cm (~4.7 inch) long, Shami mulberry trees, apple trees and various other species. The farm’s pathways are neatly paved and around the picking zone there are shaded areas with seats and water fountains.

On Saturdays, the farm operates a kiddy train transported by a tractor, offering passengers a ride to the picking area as well as a tour of the farm.

After fruit picking visitors can picnic in the shaded area. Children are welcome to enjoy a petting corner with bunnies and guinea pigs and spend time in the craft corner. The place also has a sales-stand featuring fruit and farm produce: olive oil and fruit honey.
