The Gesher Haziv Travel Hotel, like its counterpart at Kibbutz Eilon, is designed and very suitable for families, coupes and individual travelers, who like to tour the routes of the Western Galilee during the day, and return after an exhausting day to a clean and agreeable place at a fair price; a place where they can rest and gather strength for the next excursion day.
מThe idea behind the Travel Hotel is to expose the Western Galilee to travelers and therefore before guests arrive they are provided with a newsletter recommending local tours and attractions. At the Hotel’s office travelers will always find someone to help them structure a tour day and point them in the direction of routes, beaches, historical sights, attractions and special tours of the Western Galilee. Bat-Chen, the hotel owner, says that when she sees guests at the hotel after 10AM, she knows someone at the office did not do their work, since the general idea is to goad and guide guests to go out and explore the treasures of the Western Galilee.
A beautiful square welcomes arriving guests, with an elevated wooden deck scattered with chairs for relaxation. This is in fact both the lobby and the dining room. Guests sit here together after a long excursion day getting to know each other. Breakfast is also served here presented in a basket and eaten outdoors, under the Jacaranda and cypress trees and the tree called Celtis Bungeana Gesher Haziv. Flowers blossom here in full color, each flower in its respective season, and the sight is refreshing and heartwarming; nurturing and gardening are given ample attention and the result is a flourishing, inviting place.
The beautiful rooms have very lovely light fixtures, each room furnished with a double bed and two beds for children, and curtain colors that correspond with the bed covers. Rooms are accessorized with a television, a kitchenette and a coffee and tea station. Some family rooms have a separate room for children with four bunk beds to accommodate large families.
Guests are invited to enjoy the Gesher Haziv attractions: a boutique winery whose owner loves talking about the wine producing process and invites guests to try his wines, art workshops with artists who chose to build their atelier in the Kibbutz’s designated complex, the swimming pool (in winter guests are directed to the indoor pool in Kibbutz Evron) the tennis and basketball court and the children’s playground.
