Mount Sneh Reserve is a mountain covered with lush Mediterranean grove, whose slopes consist of sedimentary rocks with a unique configuration known in the Geological jargon as “Pancake Rocs”;
and justly so – due to the grooves traversing them theses rocks look like a pile of pancakes stacked one on top of the other.

These sedimentary rocks were created on the bottom of the sea that covered the area in the distant past. After the sea regressed, water began carving the rocks; they were exposed to weather conditions and erosion, and began cracking laterally.
These lateral cracks are a result of the unique rock matter constitution and the prolonged erosion that gave the rocks their unique formation.
Getting There
The entrance to the Rocks Park can be found between the villages Kisra and Sumei. Take the Carmiel – Tefen highway (road 854) and enter the village of Kisra. Proceed on the village’s main road until you reach the traffic circle before the Payis (Israel’s lottery) center. Turn right towards the Park. Follow the signs pointing to the park through the village. Park in the first or second lay-bay to the right; follow the trail marking and enter the pathway entering the grove. Along the path one can see oaks, Pistachias, red trunked Arbutus, seasonal flowers and rocks. After about a kilometer (~0.62 mile) the footpath reaches an area of rocks set with comfortable passageways adapted for baby carriages and wheel chairs. Travelers may climb the rocks and rest on the round stone bench. From here you can go up to the highway above you, turn left and follow the pavement back to the parked vehicles accompanied by the landscapes of the Galilee spread to your left.
